The Best Witchy Stores in NYC

They say you can buy anything in New York City, and it's true--even a dose of magic. Or a witchy brownie, whatever suits your fancy. There are many New Age / crystal / spiritual stores in NYC, including Enchantments in the East Village, open since 1982, Alum Shanti and Namaste Bookshop on opposite sides of Union Square, My Little Magic Shop in the Upper West Side, Stick Stone & Bone in the West Village, and The Oracle Shop in Bushwick, Brooklyn. But there are a few spots that particularly warm our witchy hearts.

Like the Alice's Wonderland of crystals and incense, and considered New York City's best metaphysical supply store, Crystals Garden sells a wide variety of (you guessed it) crystals, stones, fossils, and rare specimens. The staff here can source just about anything you're looking for from the natural world. Sullivan Street Tea & Spice Company

Nestled in Greenwich Village, Sullivan Street Tea & Spice Company is filled with aromas and vibes that will satisfy a witchy heart. We recommend going at dusk, and standing across the street from it first: tell us it's not the real-life cover of a witch fic book. Then step in and take in the scents of teas and spices galore. This is the place to get green, white, herbal, or black teas poured and measured right in front of you. The winter chestnut is to die for. If you're an apothecary at heart, you'll love selecting from herbal wellness aids like dandelion root, elderberry, ginseng root, lemon balm, butterfly pea flower, and more. This shop is also a great spot for incense.

Flower Cat Cafe and Flower Shop

This cafe and flower shop is an eclectic shrine to the divine feminine and feline energy. In addition to being a great place to grab a bite, Flower Cat hosts special events and astrology gatherings. Dip in to enjoy a yummy espresso or cappuccino with a rosemary biscuit or vegan peanut butter cookie. The flower shop at Flower Cat is famed for its astrology-themed bouquets designed for each sign. You can also buy candles and other specialty items.

Fat Witch Bakery

75 Ninth Avenue, New York, NY

This Chelsea bakery sells what many consider to be the best brownies in all of New York City. With a witchy twist, Fat Witch Bakery crafts gooey, indulgent brownies that come in many flavors. Choose from salted caramel, double chocolate, walnut, almond, snow, coffee, and more. You can also pick up a signature Vegan Witch brownie. The fun is mixing and matching or creating your own custom brownie flavor. Brownie gift sets are also available. (Because everyone knows witches and brownies go together.)
